Visiting and measuring the website
Railway hosts the website and processes ordinary network logs, which can include IP addresses, browser details and requested pages. Fonts and artwork are served locally. We measure sample progress, carts, checkout errors and purchases using a random, tab-local identifier that resets after 24 hours, together with limited campaign labels. Measurement records are retained for up to 90 days and do not include names, email addresses, street addresses, full URLs or advertising identifiers. The identifier can accompany your order to attribute a purchase, but contact information is not copied into the measurement records. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable this journey measurement. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell personal information.
Orders and payment
We collect your email, name, delivery or billing address, selected books and consequence, and the contact details needed to fulfill your order. If you request an address suggestion, the street, city, state and ZIP are sent to the US Census Geocoder; this is a suggestion, not a guarantee of deliverability, and manual entry remains available. Stripe processes payments; card numbers are not stored by this bookstore. Our print provider, Lulu, receives the information and files needed to manufacture and deliver physical books. Shipping carriers receive delivery information. For Texas tax calculations, the street address, city and ZIP code are checked against the Texas Comptroller's public rate locator; names, email addresses and card details are not sent to that service. Order records are retained for fulfillment, support, fraud prevention and applicable tax and accounting obligations.
Reader access
An essential reader-session cookie keeps your library available for seven days. Cart selections may be stored in your browser and appear in the URL. An optional checkout draft keeps contact and address fields in this tab for up to two hours; use Clear saved details on a shared device. Expired drafts are removed the next time the site accesses them, not while the browser is closed. Payment-card details are never saved in that draft. Reading passes work once within 30 minutes; emailed download links expire after seven days. Access and delivery records support recovery, order verification and troubleshooting.
Email and inquiries
Resend delivers receipts, book access and order updates. Order and update emails may report delivery, opens and clicks; access emails do not track opens or clicks. Replies go to Travis. Group and reviewer inquiries are used to respond to the request, not to subscribe you to marketing. An order or inquiry does not by itself opt you into promotional emails. If you separately request checkout reminders, we may send up to two reminders about an unfinished checkout. Sample and book-note subscriptions require email confirmation. Promotional follow-ups, including reading check-ins and optional review or sharing requests, include an unsubscribe link. We retain consent and suppression records to honor your choices; unsubscribing does not stop essential order or access messages.
Consequences and public performances
If you select a public performance, the supplied first name or nickname and the resulting performance may be published. Purchaser email, address and payment details are not published. Operational tools, including AI-assisted tools, may support production and administration; Travis owns and directs the book and its content.
